Most of our work is in garages and basements, with workshops, studios and small commercial spaces mixed in. We install epoxy, polyaspartic, flake and metallic systems, and we choose among them after we have looked at the slab.
A coating is only as good as the concrete it sits on. Around here that concrete has usually been through decades of salted winters, and a basement slab may sit on soil that stays wet for much of the year. Some floors carry a coat of paint or sealer from a past owner. Some have cracks that have been patched twice. Each of those changes the prep, and the prep decides whether a coating stays down.
What to expect from us
- A visit to measure the floor, test it for moisture and look at cracks, scaling, oil and any old coating.
- A written quote naming the system, every prep step, each coat and the total price.
- Diamond grinding of the whole floor, including the edges, followed by a full vacuum.
- Crack, chip and joint repair before the first coat.
- Clear instructions on when you can walk on the floor, move things back and drive on it, based on the product and the temperature that day.
- Any change in scope written up for your approval before we do it.
We work on concrete only. We do not coat tile, vinyl or wood. If a slab has a problem a coating will not solve, such as water coming in, heaving sections or a crack that points to a foundation issue, we tell you before you spend money on a floor.
